About Synthlust

Synthlust is an independent review site for AI companion and NSFW chat applications. We test every product ourselves, pay for our own subscriptions, and publish honest reviews with a consistent scoring methodology.

The AI companion market is growing fast and it's full of noise: paid placements, astroturfed Reddit threads, and "top 10" lists that rank products by commission rate instead of quality. We built this site because we wanted reviews we could actually trust, and they didn't exist.

What we cover

We review AI chat companions, AI image generators, and related tools in the NSFW space. We test chat quality, image generation, voice features, pricing, content filtering, and privacy practices. Our full methodology is available here.

Independence

Synthlust earns money through affiliate commissions when readers click links and subscribe. This doesn't influence our scores. Read our disclosure for the full picture. We don't accept sponsored reviews or paid placements. Some companies give us access to their product for testing; that buys an evaluation and nothing else: no preview of the review, no say in the score, no guaranteed placement.
