How to cancel Candy.ai

Candy's help center (updated October 13, 2026) puts the cancel button at the bottom of Settings: log in, open the My Profile menu, click Settings, and you'll find your subscription details with an Unsubscribe button. Click it and follow any prompts to confirm.

Cancelling stops future renewals. It doesn't refund anything on its own, and Candy's help center is clear that cancellation and refund requests are separate. If the subscription still shows as renewing afterwards, contact support at [email protected] rather than clicking again.

Refund policy: what they actually grant

Under Candy.ai's stated rule, refund requests are only eligible if you filed within 24 hours of payment and used 20 tokens or fewer. Only card payments qualify. Crypto and gift-card purchases aren't refunded. If you subscribed through the Apple App Store or Google Play, Candy can't refund you at all. That flows through Apple/Google.

Realistically, if you have used the product past the token threshold, expect "no". The 24-hour window is strict.

Access after cancellation

Cancelling doesn't cut you off immediately. You keep premium access until the end of the current billing period, the month or year you already paid for. Cancelling on day 2 of a monthly plan gives you 28 more days of premium. Any remaining tokens stay usable during that window.

Deleting your account and chat history

Cancellation does not delete your data. It only stops future charges. To delete the account itself, log in, go to My Profile → Settings, scroll to the Danger Zone section and click Delete Account. Candy states they remove data immediately, but they retain some fields for legally mandated periods (typical for payment processors handling chargeback windows).

If you only want to delete individual conversations without nuking the account, you can remove chats one-by-one inside the chat list.

Retention offers: what they might try

Candy.ai may show promotional pricing when you hit cancel, usually built around the annual plan (the regular 12-month plan already works out to $3.99/mo, 70% off monthly). If you were cancelling over price rather than fit, read the offer before clicking through, and check the renewal terms before you accept it.

If you're cancelling because the product isn't for you, ignore the offer and confirm.

Why people cancel

• Price. Monthly is $13.99. If you're not using it enough to justify that, the annual effective rate is the only reason to stay.
• Soft filters. Some niche kinks still get soft-filtered. If you hit that wall, Muah.ai runs no content filter on paid tiers.
• Switching apps. Candy is text-first, whereas Nectar and Muah's ULTRA VIP are built around voice calls. If calls matter more to you than text, those are the apps to look at.
• Privacy concerns. Candy hasn't had a public breach like Muah's 2024 incident, but it's still a US-facing consumer app with standard data retention.

FAQ

Can I cancel through the app? If you subscribed via the mobile browser, yes. The flow is the same, except you tap the hamburger menu instead of the avatar. If you subscribed through Apple App Store or Google Play, you have to cancel in those stores, not on candy.ai.

Will I get a confirmation email? Candy's help center doesn't say. Check that your subscription details in Settings no longer show a renewal, and take a screenshot as your own record.

Does cancelling delete my characters? No. Custom characters, memories and chat history stay tied to the account even after cancellation. They're only removed if you delete the account from the Danger Zone.

Can I reactivate later? Yes. Log back in and pick a plan. Your old chats and characters are still there.

What if the cancel button does nothing? Try a different browser or clear cache. If it still fails, email [email protected] or open a ticket via the Discord support channel.
